The arena uses Jet Ice paints and ice maintenance products supplied by Marshalls International, ensuring consistently high-quality ice conditions for public skating, ice hockey and international competition.

Our team has supported the installation of ice for a number of prestigious events, including the IIHF Champions Hockey League and the European Figure Skating Championships, delivering ice surfaces to the highest international standards.

The Riley Sports barrier system at Sheffield Arena was installed in 2021 by Mark Johnson through Ice Rink Services, prior to his acquisition of a shareholding in Marshalls International. Following Mark‘s appointment as Managing Director and shareholder, the Riley Sports brand became part of the Marshalls International product portfolio, allowing the company to offer complete barrier and rink infrastructure solutions.

Mark‘s relationship with Sheffield Arena extends back many years. In 2015, he led the technical team that identified and repaired a major refrigeration leak following an ice pad failure, successfully returning the arena to operation with minimal disruption.

Today, Marshalls International continues to support Sheffield Arena with Jet Ice paints, specialist ice maintenance products, technical advice and rink equipment, building on decades of practical experience within one of the UK’s premier ice sports venues.
